I am pale enough to penetrate
but you won't look me in the eye
Like stone, I crumble, waiting
and you never say goodbye

Like every other time
I sing myself lullabies
and promise you'll be back
like the sunlight in my sky

Bound to the bitterness of broken dreams
I cling to you, begging to know what I mean
Rock to the melody of your heartbeat
until we both fall slowly asleep

And in imagination
I'm not alone in bed
I'm not crying myself to sleep
while your image dissolves in my head

"I don't need to scream for you to deem me aggravation."

Our imaginations can take us to places otherwise unreachable for us... Nicely said, Eromyna...

I feel frustration from these lines.  Maybe it is because I have been there or maybe because I am there.  I enjoyed the read.

I loved this, very touching & heart felt, but the imagination can be a very dangerous thing.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Shay, I understand how youn feel, in my imagination I am happy but I am heartbroken on all the other three corners! (sad sigh) I hope your imagination melts into your reality with true joy, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Shay, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Thank you for all the feedback, and especially thanks to Mistletoe Angel. That has to be the most heartwarming reply I've ever gotten from a poetry forum. You've all made me feel very welcome here.
