My Suit Of Armor

I built a suit of armor
Crafted from the finest steel
To free me and protect me
So no hurt and pain I’d feel

The face shield large and heavy
It’s design it took me years
Welded, molded, fastened closed
To dam the flood of tears

My arms which once had held you
Were put into their place
Encased in metal, fastened tight
No longer to embrace

Legs that once had carried me
From one heartache to another
I immobilized with rivets strong
And bound them to each other

Last there came the breast plate
By far the thickest part
Encapsulated in layers deep
I laid my fragile heart

So now my suit is finished
The armor fits me well
But instead of freedom, I am trapped
In my solitary hell

My Suit Of Armor Sequel

I built my suit of armor
Crafted very well
Hid myself from all to see
Inside my metal shell

But in your wishful searching
You found a simple flaw
An imperfection on my part
That no one else had saw

My armor sealed to everyone
Or so I once had thought
You began to work your way into
Even though I fought

You started with the faceshield
Took me by surprise
Loosed my tears and bared my face
To look into my eyes

Next, my arms so tightly bound
You unwrapped and set free
Teaching me to hold again
By holding on to me

The legs that I had shackled
So I could walk no more
You unbound so I could find
The new worlds to explore

Last there came the breast plate
The strongest from the start
But you worked your way into its steel
And touched my very heart

Now I stand before you
My armor at my feet
You’ve won this battle, I’ll admit
But I don’t claim defeat

Yes, the armor lays here
Reflected in your light
Its metal strong, rusted and dull
But I am shining bright

Dear Noah...I know you are experiencing some difficult times right now, but don't shut yourself away to all the wonderful things that can happen in your life. You shine my friend, don't hold that light in

I hope our resident angel lifts his visor
and takes a peak outside,  seeing all of
the love that awaits him out here in the
blue halls...

Hoot,  this is simply a beauty.  I am glad
I had the opportunity to read this.  And I
thank you for giving this to Noah...

(tears fall down my cheeks) God Bless You, sweet Ruth, I am flooding in tears now as you are such a wonderful special friend and your words are so deeply encouraging and encase my spirit with iron! (big hugggsssssss) My heart may be taken but it doesn't mean my soul is gone and I will keep on moving, as Shakira says, "Underneath your clothes there is an endless story" and as far as I am concerned, the story is only beginning, and the next chapter will reveal some kind of epiphany for me! God Bless You, sweet friend, you are a true angel, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ruth, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Ruth, I thank you for re-posting these. Both are the way a lot of us tend to do. Thank God that He sent my Love and me to  each  other  to break through the armour we had built around ourselves.....

Noah has so much love to give that I'm certain he will find love again.
Thank you for this.....
