You are a drug you drag me into your web I need you to be right I crave you Addiction is you for me You are no good you bring pain suffering and the withdrawal can be severe I survived the withdrawal before several times Its the relapse It kills me tears me down to nothing makes me lie and cheat makes me hurt those who are real those I truly love So stop it I dont want to need you I dont want to crave you anymore So stop it [This message has been edited by neveah5 (01-08-2003 06:52 PM).] |

Great topic. That's the kind of topic that can clear a room. Are you an addict of drugs or people? the only part of the poem that I thought sounded awkward was the "addiction is you for me" line. It just threw me off the flow. The poem feels like a snippet of a much longer conversation with larger perspectives, surrounding environments, and a history of shame and abuse. I always opt for elaboration. That's just my opinion. Overall:touching and emotional work. |

Its actually an addiction Ive felt towards a person for about 3 years...definately not drugs, just a comparison |
