somebody's dungeon

There was afar off, the chance.
Fleeting, yes, but there waiting,
for me to take the leap of faith.
Just step off into oblivion, with
words to set me free. The plea
was so loud. Screamed into my brain
a saving refrain. I should
have heard, I should have heeded
it was what I needed, but alas,
I missed the call. As I fall, I
reach, attempting salvation,
the reincarnation of myself
I wanted this and nothing else,
yet, this only was I denied,
wonder not why I have died,
it was a soft death of spirit
bother not, you won't hear it
a mere whisper, the passing away.

Not sure I fully understand this, but I will say there are too many times I didn't heed that inner voice, and calamity struct and I believe I've died a thousand deaths.

But, always there is recovery, though spirit seems to die...it is enriched with new knowledge, wisdom and ever determination to live.....better....than I did.....

Whatever is going on, you have my best wishes for a new frame of mind....and heart and soul...

Hugs,  Pat
