Sweet and crystal dawns invite me
Talk upon the woods in whispers smitten
Sparkling in the colors and the scents tiptoed there
Lifting off the feathered fog, with fingertips of light

For I belong to the glen and the meadow
Certainly to share the tickle of welcome sunshine
Shimmering the air from chickadee to swallow
Tapping on the shoulder of the wind

Chilled champagne, the colors of the morn
Simply sweeter in the autumn and crisper in the winter
Skipping rope among the treetops, drizzled to the underbrush
Awakened with the bubbles, a morning person…

yes..a morning person...
nothing like seeing the rest of the world wake up...and savoring the essence of it all.
Often a time of peace in a day filled with those things not.

Enjoyed... and thanks for reminding me

I believe this could make me a morning person....and BELIEVE ME...I'm not one.

Such lovely images spreading across this page.  Very well done This Diamond.

I never even got to the part of what this poem was about, for line after line after line....extremely creative..what a joy to read you....
too many to quote..

This is very well written. Can re-read several times and still so pleasing from the imagery you share with us.
A keeper, for certain. Amazing writer, you are. Enjoyed.

Warm regards, Pat

Superbly picturesque Kathy,  your plate of
colors,  scenery is full as always....and
I would think that you may have been dancing
when you thought of this...in the snow...

Say it again and again!  Beautiful!

The stars will shine when I am gone,
the earth will turn on as before,
the gulls, still race along the shore,
the morning star, still kiss the dawn

I'm both a morning and a night person! It makes for a chaotic life sometimes, but is worth the cost of the candle.
