Claiming Salvation

What does God think when He looks down
And sees the crime in every town?
How disappointing we must be
To He, who made us joyfully
And yet He never turns away.
He walks beside us through each day
And when He sees an act that shows
A heart that's kind, it's then He knows
His teachings are still heard by some.
Upon that day, when He is come
To weigh our faults, where will we stand,
In gaining Paradise He's planned?
I like to think there's just a few
Who would not qualify.Will you
And will I too, be one to claim
Salvation, in our Savior's name?

This poem was not exactly technically sophisticated with respect to the art of poetry itself.  However, I did like the heart of its message.

BettyLou~
YOU are dang near poetically perfect~
This is one that should be published ... and I'm sure you're just a heartbeat away from that happening~

Love you dearest poetess~
