Point Me Back To Your Crown

Lord, please forgive this distance.
Forgive me for allowing the cares
of the times, and the day steal my thoughts away.
Time slips away, and day after day
I forget the things to say.

I know you don't expect me to
You love no matter what I do.
Conditions aren't accepted here
That's your words...the ones so dear.

Thank you for the patience,
when doubt, and hurt creeps in
Help me to remember
the times when we began.

When peace was mine, of that I did partake.
I didn't let my heart be ruled by my mistakes.
Unkind words that hurt, and tear me down.
Thank you for the ones that point me back to your crown.

I don't say it...no never enough, but I love you Lord
I need to remember to look to you when things get rough
But that's the times when I feel I've made you sad
I lose heart, and feel there's nothing I can pray that would be enough.

But that's not true, if it were so
then there would be condition, and that’s not you.
That’s not what you would show.
Your love is real, and it’s true!!!

When times are hard, and I’m really down,
Thank you for pointing me back to the crown!!!

I am so often led astray, and it's not obvious. I just get busy and forget and things like that, but thats just as bad as anything. I'm so glad our Lord is forgiving, as you have so beautifully described!
