I pray to you my Lord
that you will forgive
these eyes that looked away,
when a soul was in need.

The burden of my sin
kept me away from you.

I ask once more my Lord
that your hand will guide mine
for without your love
I am lost,with no father,no friend.

There are many times
I have failed you
and walked the road alone
just a sinner,without a home.

The burden of my sin
kept me away from you.

How I long to call you father
to kiss the hand of god
to see the light of heaven,
to be with you my Lord.
