                                                         Where Eagles Dare

Soaring upwards, ever upwards
to where the air is a cold crystalline blue.
Rising far above the grasp of Mother Earth,
you glide along through endless halls
of cloud and air.
Face to face with the towering giants.
Racing the currents along,
oh what a glorious feeling this would be
to rise above the bonds of Earth and take flight.
Rising above all our humanly restraints
to soar in the halls of dreams,
to view the thrones of Angels.                    All round you the great columns of white rise,
in majestic splendor
to unimagined heights.
For just a few fleeting moments
to set your spirit free and
to fly where Eagles dare.

I think if I could be any bird that would be the one. Strength, freedom, and soaring so close to the heavens. Nicely done.

(smiles) God Bless You, sweet friend, your heart soars like an eagle indeed in this beautiful write, if we can just look up to the heavens and smile, we can all fly like eagles and falcons and the golden palace can be our aerie! Well I must say good job. I myself have tried on several occasions to write about eagles soaring. But i find that flying is a hard topic to write about so that durring the reading of the poem reader can actually feel the words not only read them. So in saying that, once again again, congrats, and good job in succeded in that goal.
