"Empurple – to make or become purple" Purple is the color of kings And color of nobility It was once so rare that it was Worn only by the royalty And if it is a royal hue This brilliant mix of red and blue, What better place for it to be Than among the heavenly? This, then, is what life is about: Being prepared for life above, By learning to walk in faith, And donning a robe of love! This is God’s plan in history: To empurple you and me Making us fit for royalty Preparing us for what will be He’s empurpling us more each hour Through the strength of His loving power… --- P.S. Empurple is a real word... I found it in the dictionary the other day. I thought it was a rather interesting word, and decided to write a poem to go along with it. |

I like that word!!! I had to look it up for myself.... Empurple, WOW!!! That is a fabulous word and your so correct about the innate meaning of the word as well. This really made for quite a fun poem to read as well as being quite profound. Did you know that a purple robe was placed on Jesus just prior to His crucifixion. WOW!!! Talk about a robe of Love.  (smiles) Oh Benjamin, it truly is a real word and He truly wore the purple robe as He was suffering, knowing that our Gracious One has blood more loyal and royal than anyone and may we all bow before Him at His throne where He reigns with love!
