I faded away from you
I lost sight
I felt as if we were far apart
I was miserable
Life was not worth living
Foolishly, I took Your presence for granted
And then, I couldn't find you anymore
My smile vanished
My heart hardened
Loneliness seeped in, and overcame me
Balancing on the edge, I sought you once more
Only to be confronted with my own despair
I fell
Aimlessly, wretchedly, and worthlessly into sin
It surrounded me and corrupted my soul
It brought me to my knees
as the tears poured from my eyes
Streaming down my face
Like a waterfall, never ending
I lie there helplessly
in the perpetual darkness
Weeping in the stillness of the universe

Then I heard A song
It was you
You gave me the  strength to stand
I saw your face
And I felt your undying love
It was then, that I realized You never left me at all
You were there through it all
I found the happiness I had been so tormented without
My dying soul came forth in jubilee
The tranquility encased me
I felt at peace
Now I live
Because You hold me close
You give me joy that is beyond words

Victory in Jesus!!!! I am not only thrilled at your testimony about what God did for you, my friend, but I am also rejoicing at how truly Faithful our God is to be present through our dry season and how when we truly search the most inner recesses of our souls and our hearts that we can and will discover that, yes, God is and will continue to be an ever present companion. God bless you and thank you for sharing.

(jumps up and down in joy) Yay!!! And He will always be there for us and see to it every one of us is a winner for when you believe, you can never lose it all and regardless of if you believe or not, He will always be guiding over us and once you believe you feel ever so free!
