Jesus, when will you return?
For times are not so good.
Wars are breaking everywhere
Guns are in the 'hood.

Victims cry out restlessly
While villains walk with pride
When will you pour out Your wrath
And end the ache inside?

Disease is rampant everywhere
And still there are no cures
Come and heal this ailing word
From all of Satan's lures.

Do not tarry one more day
Without You we are lost
Return with all authority
And end this winter's frost.

Jesus lives in my heart!

I think that is what I love best about Spring and especially in this current climate, people call out to him and he seems to appear in each person's smile.  Nicely done.

This is a poem of faith....
knowing that God is able to
answer our call.
God bless,
Ethel

A  beautiful intense prayer ... rising directly from your heart.
An outcry for help ... He hears, may there be peace in our hearts.

A very very relevant prayer for today, I think, and I will add my vote as well as my "Amen" to the list of poet's confirmations written here above. Good job.
