I asked my Lord to help me to finish my work
for I was afraid that my time had come and
before me was so much unfinished and he said
"Go and do no more the things which prevent you
from your work."

And I went forth.

I stood before the house of the Lord and said
"I am hungry, lonely and much saddened."  The Lord
said "Go and gather up as many of your brothers
and sisters as you are able and so it will not be
your end - they will be more hungry, lonely and
so saddened they will not be able to make it to
my house without you."

"For it is my Father who has shut the door until
all righteousness be fullfilled."

And I went forth.

I stood before my Lord and begged him to let me be
respected and he said.  "Ask not your Lord for the
respect of men but that you should respect love,
mercy and compassion - go on with your life being
mindful of compassion to yourself and others."

"They will see you and know that I have sent you forth."

I stood before my Lord and looked into his eyes and fell bitterly to the ground weeping for what seemed like many years had passed until I thought I had no tears left.

"My Lord"  I have finished my work and I have gathered my brothers and sisters.  I have respected compassion and mercy and still the world around me spins with anger - I am not welcome in houses even when bearing your gifts.  Many of those who I hoped I had helped curse and reject me.  And although I still care very much.  I do not win them for you.

The Lord lifted up my head and said "Rejoice."
And as my last tear fell he spoke with an incomparable voice.

"Father"  "Open the door and let my brother in."

Then the Lord gave me a stone with a name inscribed on it as I walked through the gates of the Kingdom.

I so often think about the example I try to set and wonder if it indeed rubs off on others, and most often am not dissapointed.  I loved this poem and to me, it set the example of how to be and act in his light well.  Enjoyed it very much.

Your my song.  Somewhere in the night you will know.  Everything lovers can know.
Love and soar.  Movin' so right.  Closing our
eyes and feeling the light.  We'll just go on burning bright.  Somewhere in the night.

Thanks for your comments.

What a wonderful tale.. yes, we go forth in His  name and we are rejected for it.. but as He said, this is a good thing! It means we are on the right path; the world hated him, so it will hate us if we follow Him. What a beautiful picture of the reward we shall recieve for being treated thus.

Oh, make me Thine forever
And should I fainting be
Lord, let me never ever
Outlive my love for Thee

You are wise indeed LoveBug.

(big hugggssssssss) Yes, every righteous soul will be rewarded and sadly many will not accept the way we embrace Him but I will not feel guilty or back down as I respect what they believe in and I will hold firm to my love of Him! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, like siblings there are times we don't get along but as we grow we are forgived, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
