On Martyr's Hill

I'm climbing up on Martyr's hill
To see the troops advancing still
Upon the clay from which I came
Of many sorrows, guilt and shame
But time has yet revealed her hand
When this was once a blazing land
A land of joy, of peace and myrrh
When every heart was moved and stirred
To dance with songs of God's own grace
And lived and strived in God's embrace
Though sands of time have all erased
The greenery that once was here
The scenery that we held dear
Still calls of Eden, yet I fear
God's flaming sword
that warns,

"Stay Clear!"

I'm climbing up on Martyr's hill
To see the troops advancing still
Upon the clay from which I came
Of many sorrows, guilt and shame
Conquered I hope in Jesus Name.

Hi Bob, very nice rendition for glory, truth and righteousness. May our brave troops and all of the coalition be protected by the truth and the light. That there sacrifice for us and the entire free World. Give way for a safe and peaceful future. God Bless!!

Hi Bob,
Gods flaming sword that warns, Stay Clear.
Puts a chill up my spine. Although I cannot know the mind of God. I do believe in his wrath. War, a time of hitting bottom. A just God, a loving God, the one God. I think you have wriiten this poem so well. Thanks

Oh my!  I do wish you would have put this as a book submission.  This is an everlasting poem and I could see this being read by girls grandkids Bob. I guess you know I loved it?

Robert...A good friend said "you're missing out on a lot..."

So may I spend the next few years in here with you?

This is wonderful...
I think Mysteria is right...this should be a Book Submission....
