A Spider’s Tale

The spider scurries, toils, and spins
her web that starts, but never ends
A woven maze of silken thread
that hovers low just overhead.
In sticky net that catches prey
and holds it fast 'til end's dismay,
The end it comes with flurry spun
thus spider's bite and prey is done ...
This tale is crude. What can I say?
"I'd hate to be a spider's prey!!”

(sigh) Oh Robert, I love spiders as they are true beautiful artists but I would hate too being prey to them! (big hugggssssss) This is wonderfully said, sweet friend, we all make up a part of life and may spiders always weave webs of magic for us all, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Robert, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Bob:  I am not fond of spiders, although I do admire their webs and the artistry there.
I enjoyed your poem.  Guess I spent too many years looking for black widows in every nook and cranny when I lived in Nevada.

Thank you to both of you for your kind responses....  This was simply an attempt of mine to break away from the "traditional" spiritual poem and to describe and to relate to something that is more tangible to me.  I think that we all have proverbial spiders with their luring webs of which we can relate to in our lives. Amen. God bless you both and again thank you.

My yard is full of spiders.  They hang from tree to tree and bush to bush.  I don't need to decorate for halloween, they've done it for me.  But they really are artists and I like your poem.  Joyce

Enjoyed this very much. Spiders being one of God's creation are all right as long as they stay in their own place, outside and away from me!

Lol Bob! I'd sure hate to be a spiders prey caught in his sticky web.
To think of it makes me want to jump out of my own skin!
Enjoyed your poem!

Happy Halloween

Joyce,

Thanks for your kind words.  Spiders are very creative Halloween decorators indeed.

Songbird,

Big smiles.  I agree with you whole heartedly, let the spiders have their own place away from me.

Gentle Spirit,

That's OK.  I understand you not being much of a spider fan...  thanks for commenting.

Deb,

Kind of gives me goose pimples too.  Yikes!!!  Thanks for stopping in and for your humorous reply.
