Beneath vast canopies of questions
lives a sage with indigestion
indisposed to current cause
addicted to the kudos sought
while
debt's harrassments serve him true
imposing difficulties anew.

Beneath the glare of pensive stars
near intellectual thought frontiers
he biotechnically regards
wisdom of past million years
but the supercomputers of Mars
he cybernetically fears.

Above the machinating eons
he dreams of conquering many worlds
and
cultivating screaming trees on
alien soils where he would hurl
enticements he has since achieved
and
over which existence grieves.

Intuitively he hacks away
dogmatically spending his days
engrossed in his absurd creations
while
basking in intense elation.

He unceremoniously forgets
the thoughts he diligently rejects.

Thrice embalmed in selfsame shrines
he dwells eternally entwined
amidst his cornucopian treasures
refusing conferred times of leisure.
But he lacks the thing he'll never get--
my undivided deep respect.

What a splendid poem that depicts all too well what could describe so many these days.  Enjoyed.

Another great poem!!!!!

"He unceremoniously forgets
the thoughts he diligently rejects.

Thrice embalmed in selfsame shrines
he dwells eternally entwined
amidst his cornucopian treasures
refusing conferred times of leisure.
But he lacks the thing he'll never get--
my undivided deep respect."

LOVED the ending!

Thanks Mysteria:

There are lots of folk out there sitting in ivory towers or otherwise feeling superior to others.

Glad you enjoyed!

Thanks Red!

(big hugggssssss) Oh Radrook, it is so very saddening to see all the biggest positions being taken over by those who are not truly qualified! (sad sigh) Those I respect the most are those who for good of others fights to makes a stand then rises and keeps his or her promise after gaining the opportunity! This is excellent, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Radrook, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Hi Noah!

I agree buddy.
Seems like the good guys lose too often doesn't it? But that doesn't mean that the bad guys can have our respect!

Thanks for your reply my friend.
God bless!
