Inspired by a pic of a lighthouse in the woods paired with a rainbow at it's side. It was a challenge to write of it without using the word rainbow.

In Fullness of the Spectrum

the spectrum of my life
began in earnest
when the light
from my Lighthouse
shone its glory
illuminating my days, my path,
brightening my heart
and showing me unconditional love

He became my prism
refracting the essence
of just whoHe intended me to be
and as long as I allow myself
His light
as long as I open my eyes,
my heart,
my mind
color fills my hours

oh, help me in the shadow times
to ever seek Your light

©October 27, 2002

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Virginia, this was a very good poem. I loved the way you wrote it and did the colors, too. Thanks for sharing.

A beautiful job on this, Virginia...
I think you met the challenge well, and the rainbow effect seeps right throught the words.  I also love the form you used with the varied color letters...

Yay!!! Awwwwwwwww, this is sooooooo beautiful, sweet friend, I love rainbows and have seen many lighthouses along Oregon's shore from Tillamook to Corvallis and they are breathtaking! (kiss on cheek) This is colorfully splendid, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Virginia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
