Why am I here
being forced to learn something
for which I care nothing about?
Why does it matter
whether I'll pass or fail
if I won't be using it
after I graduate?
Am I doomed to failure again
when no matter how hard I try
I cannot rise above?

I don't think I can beat this!

So I continue to die in
this subject I hate
so completely and so much
more than anything I know.
No wonder its called, "Foreign"!
I cant' understand
what the point of this is
when none of it stays
affixed in my brain
but floods out
as soon as I hear it.
Why do I feel cheated
out of the time
that I have put into this
with no reward
and no motivation
just stumbling on
continuously
waiting for escape
thats taunting me
again and again
and laughs
at the burden of my folly...

I waas looking for one of my poems so I could print it and send it to someone I know. I noticed that you only got one response, and I know exactly how it feels. I liked your poem. You're right. Who needs to learn how to multiply fractions or disect a sentence anyway?

JediRaver - at times we learn about things that at the present time seem to have no meaning at all. But there's some reason for it. Stay with it...

(sigh) Oh Ryan, this is so very heartfelt, sweet friend, don't despair for life is filled with mishaps and we may feel betrayed sometimes but he has a plan for us all and the blessings will always outweigh the tears, keep your chin up, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ryan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
