Take Back The Night

Take back the night
Remove the touch of
Blackness that shadows me
The music that once
But no more made my
Soul sing with what
I believed was love

Take back the night
Take from my heart
The poison that
Drips through me
Flowing into my
Soul with each
Throb of my pulse

Take back the night
That streaks my eyes
With a counterfeit
Of love's saving light

Take back the night
Let it retreat
Into the shadow-lands
Of despair
And free me from this
Ache of soul which
Saps my will

Take back the night
Let it leave me
Let me be free again
To hold aloft
The sword of truth and
The shield of hope

Take back the night
And let me live in
The light of freedom

Take back the night

Krissy

And while thy willing soul transpiers
at every pore with instant fires

This was a powerful gut-wrenching write that appeared to be the expression of a real broken heart.

I hope that this was just poetry and that you
are not crying out from a place of pain.

Take care, dear one

Krissy: Your mum read this to me last night... and I had to fight tears. For you've captured so well the pleas of one who fights depression. This is sadly exquisite!

Krissy beloved heart, you don’t know how proud I am of you when you write like this. That you can write well I acknowledge, when you write and the emotion is so strong I applaud you, when you do so without having the personal experience or trauma in your life I stand and shout well done beloved daughter. Where did you get your talent from, well not from your fathers side of the family that is for sure And I doubt it comes from me darling heart you must have acquired it by a type of osmosis, I’d suggest that Keth check her bag to see all the talent she had before she was with us in Florida is still in her possession, not that I’m suggestion for a moment you aren’t talented darling heart, just that you are not above a little legerdemain sleight of hand.

‘Tis a good job I’m your mum and can make statements like that without repercussions, being your mum has to have some bonuses. I wub you weally you know.

Love you always
And forever
Mum

Krissy,
this is heartwrenching, gut wrenching and astounding poetry. I've checked my bag, your talent is your own and I love the poet in you, also you're not so bad yourself.

Krissy beloved daughter I was going to summon Bev de Bump but instead you get this

Bev de Bump has gone away
And won’t come out to play
So I thought I’d lift this one
To the top just for fun

If your poem has fallen down
And you wear a little frown
Bev de Bump will come along
And boast it up with a song

But Bev de Bump as you know
I called but she didn’t show
So I thought I do instead
Even thought all these I’d read

Love you always

Love and warm stuff
As always

Krissy, look at your inspire.
take back the night
it shall not stay
I want the sun
I need the day
there must be
and easier way
so love hold back the night

take back the night
so stars may shine
then I will seek
a love divine
I'll hold the day
to make you mine
and thus hold back the night

take back the night
to live by day
and find the path
of come what may
if love can walk
the easier way
I will hold back the night

take back the night
till time is done
I will persist
and seek the sun
and I will search
and find the one
Till then, take back the night.

(10 points for you)
Keth
