Devastating eyes
lacerating
hand me downs
curved like
the scimitar &
taking no
prisoners
still I
surrendered
added my
fan
to the flame
scathed by
my ignorance
& delight
in gorgeous things
that even
after all this
time
logic fails
to understand
The hope
for all my kind
rests
in our own
hands
