Lay Your Soul Next To Me Lay your soul next to me tonight Feel the touch of love’s warm starlight Let the whole of your heart feel this The wonder of this perfect kiss Acknowledge the dreams that speak my name Then accept the need for my liquid flame Don’t deny me access to your soul You know its this that makes you whole Breathe in the fire that I bathe in Let me cover you with an urge to sin Take back the wish to set yourself free Subtract the whole from the sum that’s me Give your heart to me like this Wrapped in hope and adorned by bliss Don’t fear that you can’t pay the price I’m not looking for a real sacrifice Gift me with your thoughts of such The needs and desires for my touch Let the feel of my whispering flame Stir again the wish to hear my name If you want me you know what to do Simply ask and I’ll come back to you Allow the night to cover your sight Cede to this the thrill of lover’s plight Wherever the moon casts her soft glow Feel the heat within me begin to flow Marsha Breathe through the heat of our desire |
