Between a laugh and a tear...

Heartscape

A vista clear
Windswept and cold
Scarcely a trace
Of a love so bold

A word not spoke
Thought just known
But for each word lost
There’s a seed not sown

Hearts once held fast
Bound by lovers flame
Now bear the cost of time
And know life’s pain

In the scheme of things
We’re but grains of sand
But like history’s fools
We’ll strike up the band

Another dream cast out
Upon barren ground
In search of a love
That was long ago found

In reality, I think you remind me of my younger brother that I haven't seen in too many years. This poem reminds me of how I listened to him and he never disapointed me. Thank you.

"Another dream cast out
Upon barren ground..."

seems so many dreams are cast onto barren ground...but for those of us who are dreamers, there is belief, a spark of hope, a 'maybe'...just maybe....
you keep dreaming of a love worthy of you..you will find it right before you when its time...

keep the faith my friend...
