Heartscape A vista clear Windswept and cold Scarcely a trace Of a love so bold A word not spoke Thought just known But for each word lost There’s a seed not sown Hearts once held fast Bound by lovers flame Now bear the cost of time And know life’s pain In the scheme of things We’re but grains of sand But like history’s fools We’ll strike up the band Another dream cast out Upon barren ground In search of a love That was long ago found |
