Girl: Look at all you've give me tonight.
      You took me to dinner
You took me for a lovely walk
You wrote me a wonderful poem
And made me a bed of roses.
I haven't given you anything have I?

Toe:  I wouldn't say that.
You gave me someone to eat with
It was a nice night for a walk
I write alot of poems anyway
And it was a chance to do something else with
      flowers.

Girl: I guess we're about even.

Toe:  I guess so. Good night.

This leaves me with that same delightful feeling of all being right with the world that my favorite old movies do... it's wonderful! *S*

And it should definitely answer any questions Earth Angel might have still as to whether you're a true southern gentleman! *S*

I like this very much, sweets...

guess you are...

nice to point out that expectations in some situations are what we make them and how we look at things...

And that is what a perfect date it is all about, dear southern gentleman!

---Mutually giving and satisfying--with no unwanted demands or high expectations--just enjoying each other and going with the flow.

Your charm is in full form

Mr. Toe, this is SOOOOO good. See, I told you that you're a "SOUTHERN   GENTLEMAN", with grits and all. Thanks for these sweet poems with which you're showing us another side of you. I still like the side of you, too, that writes all those funny poems. Will be looking for both kinds.

Love To All,
Ethel
