the flower girl, lives on a pink cotton candy cloud, dangles her feet and never looks down, didnt see the stray dog on the roadside, welcoming death as the snow poured down, or the flock of geese watching helplessly on a summer night when one of their own was hit and run, didn't hear an indie rock song about anne frank today, reminding her of her roots, didnt read a poem about the palestinian raped women, reminding her that we all suffer...... didnt see the mentally challenged kid on the block being invisible to the other kids, didnt' feel bad when a guy poet,blew her off, cause maybe she showed her kinky dirty girl side too quick, your loss honey, i would have rocked you (and i would have shown up) didnt see her mother,saint rose, continue to get verbally abused for the last 50 years by her father... didn't feel bad that she and her sister still cant see eye to eye, despite the crap they lived thru in childhood, didnt have a hunch that her daughters dancing around a pole tonight, didn't realize she may never reclaim her 70 Queens college credits, and never go back, didn't read these other sad stories, didnt realize that this life may be it.......... didnt realize that when saint rose leaves the earth, there will probably be no one that will love her unconditionally, the flower girl lives with her head in the clouds, but sometimes her feet do touch ground reluctantly, and see the cesspool below, while michele's just trying to find the "middle way" |

thanks, truly, aenimal.... i didnt exactly think this would fly to the top, as i hit the send button, nor did i care. cause an audience is of course, nice, but instead of the usual "nice job", which i do like hearing and like to see to,and also am guilty of giving at times, when im pressed for time, i wanted to hear some gritty,meaty,comments from some gritty,meaty,head/hearts, and thats all i was looking for........so thank you.....really.......cause sometimes, you really just gotta write whats burning inside, wheterh someone likes it or not, and wheter it really, sucks or not, but i think you know.....this.... |
