* * *

Christmas time is not the same
Because you are no longer here
I don't feel the need to celebrate
And more often I shed a tear

I take flowers to your grave
Where I spend a moment or two
It's the place where I come
To be closer to you

'tho you're not really here
I feel at peace in this place
Where the birds sing so sweetly
As the tears stain my face

I never have much to say
Except 'I love you Dad'
My memories I'll always cherish
So many treasured times we had

I remove the old dead flowers
And replace them with the new
As I remember with much fondness
How much I still love you

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you
- Shawn Mullins

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Sue, my heart goes out to you, sweet friend, I understand how hard it can be to endure the holidays with a loss so dear but know your dad will always love you and never forget you and is always guiding you with love and he is why the sun shines and flowers bloom! (sigh) I send many angel hugs of comfort your way, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Sue, I'm so sorry that you're sad.
I'm glad that you have good memories, though.

Sue, this is one of the most tender poems I have read in quite some time....I believe it should have another spot at the top, as there are many of us who share these feelings.  ~~S~~

Pen how you truly feel...
it is a safety-valve for the soul!
