A well needed rest, I was sound asleep,
It's been one hell of a day.
Then I heard a knock, about 3 o'clock,
Rolled over-ignored-slept away.

My wife awoke and yelled in my ear,
"Aren't you gonna go see who's there?"
Got up and staggered down the stairs,
Found drunk Balladeer in despair.

He slurred out; "Can ya give me a push?"
My reply was direct and clear;
"It's three o'clock in the morning ya lush,
Get your drunk ass out of here!"

Went back to bed, my wife asked me;
"Who was knocking at the door?"
I said just a drunk, needing a push,
I told him to leave and knock no more.

She said that's not nice, go back and see,
If I could assist the poor man
Got back outta bed, back down the stairs
To do what ever I can.

I looked out the door, unable to see,
Yelled; "Hey do you still need a push?"
He replied, "Yes I sure do, would you please?
I'm out here past the bush.

He said he was next to the flowerbed,
But I couldn't see a damn thing,
I went out to the yard, and my face turned blood red,
Found Balladeer on my little girl's swing.

Yanno... my cousin used to give me a push that sent me flying right OUT of the swing... perhaps that's the technique you need to use on the swig and swing man? *G*

seemed to have somewhat of a naughty connotation to it. Then I thought to myself, no, it is probably something about the BEATLES. So I said, okay, I'll bite! and I
