Reclaimed There are scorch marks upon many of the rocks here Where the remains of the eggs were melted with the parent’s fire The pools of liquid egg shards hardens In the eons to come they will become encased in the rock itself A channel of gold which will be mined by man Shaped and wrought into all manner of utensil and adornment A treasure which calls to be reclaimed Summoned by the soothing lullaby A bed of gold upon which to sleep That from which they came once more cradles them in slumber Enotneicna SLR 10-11-02 Words are my medicine. |
