Consider This
By Larry Chadwick
What a year!

In case I might forget,
It happens every year.
A time to stop and think,
As the season draws so near.

This year seems much worse,
Then any I’ve had before.
But blessings still exist,
That I simply can’t ignore.

I’m thankful for my family,
That loves me every day.
I’m thankful for my friends,
That love me come what may.

I’m thankful for my Lord,
Who gives me strength each day.
I’m thankful for my loved ones lost,
Who blessed my life in every way.

I’m thankful for so many things,
This poem would be too long;
If I listed each and every one,
It would seem so terribly wrong.

Still I’m glad I stopped to count,
The good that’s come to me.
I hope you’re blessed as well,
Reflect a while, I’m sure you’ll see.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

I love this about you! You have been to hell and back but you manage to see and appreciate the blessings you still have.

You are entering a new chapter in your book of life. You have a new job, you are stronger, and your outlook on life appears to be more positive and hopeful.

Enjoyed this lovely poem!

~ Blessings to you and your lovely family this Thanksgiving

I am thankful too, for a chance to spend a few moments a week with you, and all the other wonderful people who make Passions a welcome home.

With sorrow and trouble comes strength. It does make you reflect. The holidays are usually depressing to me. I reflect on when I was a kid, Christmas was so exciting, my parents with their joy watching us open our presents. Now it's just me, and I hate the thought of those holidays coming around. So now I have to create my own joy, get boozed up and feel sorry for myself...then sober up, still feel sorry for myself. Whatta life don't ya think?....Hope your holidays are better than mine, know you've had your share of problems this last year, I hope this coming year brings you happiness and joy.

Larry, this is so beautiful. I miss you so much here, dear friend.
I hope you're liking your new job, though.
Yes, Larry, if I let myself I can get really depressed on the holidays, too.
But, like you, I'm trying my best to think upon the good things and
the many blessings God has bestowed upon me. There are so many people
in our world who are less fortunate.
Thanks for sharing, friend, and I hope you and yours have a
very Happy Thanksgiving.

palmerj,
Welcome to Passions! Hope you like it as much as I have. And thank you so much.

passing shadows,
Indeed we are and may your blessings overflow! Peace and love.

Lauren,
How exciting to see you here! I miss you just as much and Happy Holidays to you and your entire family. Hug the girls for me. And thank you.

Linda,
How sweet your friendship is to me. And thank you for your kindness. Bless you and yours on this holiday.

Kacy,
I do believe it is time for either a carpet ride or a spin on the camel. Or behind door number three a jucuzzi for your camelhair bikini! Thanks dear friend.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Toe,
Dear man you have so much to give. Hope you aren't holed up for the Holiday but bless those around you as you do here. Bless you, always.

Sy,
Peace and Happy Holidays to you! Thanks.

Sue,
And Happy Holidays with peace and blessings to you.

Noah,
Happy Holidays to you young man. Thank you for all you have meant to me this year. May receive as much as you give and your heart will be overflowing. Thank you so much.

Ethel,
Thank you so much for your kindness and friendship. I don't consider sadness to be depressing. So when I miss my family members it is mixed with joy and sadness. Peace to you sweet friend.
