Capricious

Petulance rides a colored horse
Whimsically in quirky force
Wanton in a vagrant way
Never dull when in display.

It blends into rainbows flair
Forcefully it does declare
Promising a treasure trove
Denatured on a fired stove.

Bagpipes play capricious sound
Makes your head go round and round
Dancing in a ne’er do well
Weaving you into a spell.

There where feeds the colored horse?
Waiting for your act of course
Your lasso flies about its neck
You tighten it with what the heck.

And there stands petulance in style
And I have captured me a smile.

"Petulance ~in style~" - the only way.

Smiling here, this is an interesting poem.

I like the line:

"denatured on a fire stove", among too many others to quote. I enjoy the entire poem.

Thanks and warm regards,  Pat

(giggles in delight) And I think poetry and the romance of life is meant to be ever so capricious, and it is never elusive either for we take a spoonful of all the colors we see around us and metabolize them into our alternate version of the rainbow on a palette from the heart! (big hugggsssss) This is wonderful, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Yanno Sigh, I've had a whole passle full of "spoonful of colors"...but this is very good.....Someday I'm gonna cruise down yonder to Florida and meet up with you and the 'Roach'.....and just show yall a glorious time....Of course, you do know I'm the quiet, shy, passive kind of guy, but still I'm sure Bally will keep us awake don't ya think?

With the many comments up above
I join in laughter at this treasure trove.

Seymour darling heart I have need of a smile this week it has been both eternally long and not good, so I’ll gather all the smiles I can get right now. Thank you for this one it is most welcome and as always your writing shines, thank you muchly for it. I’m wrapping my soul in some poetic splendour today to sort of lag myself against the weekend that hangs heavy with portents of trouble.

Truly exquisite writing I love it utterly

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire
