Silhouette Touch

Moon was palmed in the bend of trees
caught the glow of fire in eyes.
Watched it ascend, then fall with ease
driving thoughts of you in its rise.

Wondering where you were at this moment in time,
could you sense the excitement in me?
I stilled these thoughts as the traffic aligned,
the fullness of moon to see.

I paced my drive, kept mapping it out
to catch it again, in its sphere.
As the darkness took over the daylight time,
I waited for its reappear.

This meaning is special to those of us who
are born in the sign of its glow.
Captured by more than the fullness of view
are "the hidden" that you and I know.

I reach to foreshadow, to silhouette touch
of its beauty, a comforting sight.
You were there, I could feel it, until its descent
sharing my thoughts in the night.

Lovely, lovely, lovely...and those 1st two lines pulls the reader in just as the moon's glow on a night such as you've described...most assuredly!

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

C and Virginia,
I've been doing some traveling each morning  at sunrise and each evening at sunset and to see the full moon cradled over the horizon  each way is quite beautiful. There are some moments when it seems so large and glowing while on the drive home each evening.
It really catches your eyes and your breath.
