And Love Is The Greatest Gift

of all the places
it could land
a tiny feather
fell in my hand
a remnant of
an angel’s wing
I held it on my palm
this fragile thing
I sat in wonder
of what I should do
and questioned why
to my fingers it flew
but knew it was no mistake
it fell to my hand in flight
gently changing me as
I closed my fingers tight
this special gift
and it was all mine
that I will hold close
till the end of time

I’m not disappointed,  I never expected anything from you.

warm words--enjoyed!

Stare into this deepening blue,
while the breeze says a secret."
