“THE OTHER HALF”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
A longing heart searches far and wide,
perhaps in your writings I belong beside,
for they seem to be somewhere within,
I believe they want me to again begin…
Comfort me, guide me to your place,
drag me there with your loving grace,
ever will the skies speak of peace,
brought on the warm breezes to seek…
Rest me upon your soft bosom fair,
again I will find within to be aware,
the years which have passed on me by,
are shadows fade, as they say goodbye…
Yet words I cannot find to say to one,
where we passed, yet now abandon,
I would say to you how deep I feel,
your dreams come to me, I kneel…
Then one tear, as it falls to the ground,
fear slowly released or I would drown,
this heart has held a secret dear,
I ask to bring it out, for it to appear…
Cool is the breeze to touch my face,
if known I would follow you anyplace,
my thoughts, desires felt deeply inside,
whispers heard, as I wish to confide…
As before, not yet known of a mask,
if I knew the words that I may ask,
trials, tribulations that led me here,
a vow to give, from one very dear…
Blessed kiss of lips not yet known,
in my shadows deep, I wait alone…
~~~~

This was written from being inspired by Lady In White's poem 'Half A Song'. Thank you Lady for your most inspiring and beautiful words...

BC

The entire poem is very well written,  says
much of this man,  the poet that pours his
life into these words....

I have read alot of your writings, and this by far is one of your best.  Your words are beautiful and inspiring and flow like magic across the page.  Nice work and I hope you get "inspired" more often!  You have a fine pen Sir!
