Where freedom blooms best
is in the heart
and soul.

The jailer keeps the keys
close to his heart,
fearing your freedom.

Some tender blossoms will be spent
before the seasons of hate
shall fade away.

When the petals of peace fall
upon unfertile ground
there can be no sweet bouquet.

The world dreams of peace,
but will it water and till
blossoms of love before it's too late?

Where freedom blooms best
is in the heart
and soul.

Is your heart,
your soul,
grounded in peace?

Midnitesun~
Beautifully penned food for thought, my friend.
Very nicely expressed.

I thought I was the only night owl. Thank you for sharing the peace of the night, and for your gentle reply.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Kacy, I agree 100% here, sadly many sacrifice this common truth and treat it like a paradox rather, and it should be pretty easy to find this peace if only people believed in the simplicity of it! (sigh) This is very well-said, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

No, I have great peace in my dreams, and sometimes in front of the PC reading the hearts of others, and in hearing my daughter laugh.

Room with a view

I watched the
sacred flower
blossom
& was entranced
by it's loveliness
& total dependence
on elements
far beyond
its perceptions

K, I thank you for that. I am that flower, and Peace is but a dream.

Kielo, I understand Kaplan, but never agreed focusing on Peace required sacrificing principles.

So we have to get out there and spread more you-know-what, don't we?
Glad to share the night, Ed.

It is so true, Midnitesun, and He said, "Peace I leave with you, not as the world gives."

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

VAS, thanks. Blossoms to you, too.

Lyra, love the way you return the chatter on a golden platter. I've sent a few others, and all I get back is a generic acknowledgement. Perhaps they don't read poetry in that house?
