This is sung to the tune of The Last Cheater's Waltz:

The Honeymoon Waltz

We circle the dance floor,
you hold me in arms made of brass.
I hold you and follow
in dreams that were born in a glass.

The neon, the sparkle,
the rhythm that speaks in my blood,
the heat and the shadows
that help me pretend I’m in love.

The night so soft, so why am I crying?
The city lights have drowned out the stars.
You hold me close as though we were sweethearts,
and the girl in the red dress keeps singing the Honeymoon Waltz.

The bass-player’s voice sobs,
the girl’s sweet soprano rings clear,
the drummer’s been drinking
all night, like they’ll run out of beer.

The fiddler keeps playing
like angel wings live in his bow,
and you murmur sweet things,
your voice warm and gentle and low.

The night so soft, so why am I crying?
The city lights have drowned out the stars.
You hold me close as though we were sweethearts,
and the girl in the red dress keeps singing the Honeymoon Waltz.

We turn to the music
together as though we were one,
you dip and I follow,
we both know the way this is done.

Then later we’ll walk out-
a place you know just down the street.
The night man winks at you
and I keep my eyes on my feet.

The night so soft so why am I crying?
The city lights have drowned out the stars.
You hold me close as though we were sweethearts,
and the girl in the red dress keeps singing the Honeymoon Waltz.
Hear the girl in the red dress, she's singing the Honeymoon Waltz.

Noah, thank you as always for your kindness in replying.

Balladeer, yes I can be subtle - as long as I don't have to hide it.

EA-thanks so much.

Nan,
all is not as it seems in this honeymoon suite,I love it when you play in/with my mind.
