Do you remember Nan, how cosey the motel room we stayed in was
Your granddaughter, a lovely girl, was rolling outside on the grass

Do you remember Marti, we thought you were just a guest arriving
But it seemed your need was high, due to a long way driving

Do you remember Denise, the aw's and oh's we yelled at the Raven
You arranged this special tour and we weren't even misbehaven

Do you remember Elizabeth, you showed me your heart's roots
Driving us through the beauty, of the Pensylvania woods

Do you remember Ruth, the time we spent at the Christmas shop
Because Nan got hit by a car and she called in this cop

Do you remember the few days when you had lost sight of me
When I went to fulfil my wishes, and one was going fishing at sea

Do you remember Marge, we hugged a man to get my luggage in your car
You drove me home to Bill, who collects elephants and plays guitar

Do you remember Marsha, Krissy, Kethry and Maureen,
What lovely lunch we had and beautiful things at June's we've seen

Do you remember the fun we made while swimming in the pool
Me, always fighting with that stupid wandering cleaning tool

Do you remember the coming of all poets, by one, by two, by four
And still we wished, there could have been so many more

Do you remember Bill's songs, in between the poet's reading Friday night
Gifts exchanging hands and the appearance of Chipmunk, smiling bright

Do you remember Maureen, when you made this delicious chicken food
I ate a lot while making little rhymes, it brought me in the right mood

Do you remember Krissy, how well you were driving around
Keeping to the right lane you did, but often not the right road was found

Do you remember Kethry, when you read this Aussi menu on Saturday
You didn't recognize one thing that could be Australian in any way

Do you remember Marsha, telling me I could feel at home, my dear
Maybe you will never know, how at home I felt with all my friends from here

Do you remember Pilgrim Nan, writing little witty poems that made me smile
And when you saw the ocean, it took away your breath for a while

Do you remember Seymour, the day you fixed the BBQ with Deer
The way you two carried on, gave us no hope for long time I fear

Do you remember Balladeer, I'm still smiling seeying you on that bed
When all the springs popped loose and on the floor your rear end sat

Do you remember Lyra, the agony of not knowing wich house to go
Meeting you at last that night, made me feel so happy you know

Fourteen must be my lucky number and will be for as long as I live
Fourteen members of Ron's family, to whom knuffels and love I could give

And I do remember Bill and David, Franny and Isabel, who came too
Along with all the others I've met, friends and relatives of some of you

I do remember when I sit here, looking at the pics I took of all friends overthere
That hugging, embracing and exchanging hearts, were the greatest gifts we did share

How on earth could I forget to put Ruth in here

Titia darling heart this brought such tears of joyful remembrances, the pictures that you are looking at and describing I can see them all. Each image crystal clear, each memory as fresh as if they happened yesterday.

Truly this is an utterly utterly wonderful poem and I love it

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

I remember you, you were the one who held us all together. So many beautiful memories crammed into so short a time. We will definitely have to do it again - your place or mine?

Well Titia, I sure wish I could have been there. I wanted so much to see you and everyone else. Then, I could have gottens some knuffles from you and everyone else. And, given some to all of you in return. I am glad you were able to go, and that you took some pictures. I enjoyed seeing all of those pictures. Sending you some knuffles anyway!

Reading this makes me kick myself, yet again, for the so few amount of pictures I have of myself and friends. For the thousandth time, I do hereby vow to take (AND develop) pictures of my friends, family, pets and everything else dear to me! *looks solemn* Gimme a month, I still won't have any. I'm hopeless, sometimes.
Lacking any picture-memories of my own, I think I'll just re-read this poem and enjoy the memories and wamrth between souls that you inspire.

Blessed Be!

We had such fun! I love your pics, too. I've copied some out but they don't seem to print too well for me. But I've made myself a collage anyway and put it on the wall beside the collage you gave me of you and your mom and your home.

Titia~
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to be there, but
after reading this, I feel as if I was.
This is the next best thing to 'remembering'.
Thank you for sharing this, my friend.
Love and hugs,

Titia, I want to thank you and the other PiP members who met, and brought to life the reality of the poets we meet through Passions.  I also want to thank you all for sharing your pictures and poems of the times shared.  This is what Ron's home is all about!

Hi Titia, how much I loved meeting you and Nan. It was one of the highlights of my summer. And dear lady, this old gal spends most of her days with a 'high need.'

Thank you again for the collage picture you gave me. It's above my bulletin board and I see you and your sheep and Dutch skies daily.  Come back and visit again soon.

Huggles, Marti
