Why are all my poems so sugar-fairy sweet?
What happened to the blood, the bore, the bruised and battered feet?
This is just a plastic show job; not really my release.
I'm just pretending to write love songs.
I was lying- I don't care.
I'm glad I never told the truth.
It wasn't truth that brought you here.
But I need to re-remember me.
My face, in forever, I have not seen.
What reality lost, I found in my dreams.
Hold fast! Feathers fly far on the softest breeze.
Tomorrow, please take me away
so, today won't mean a thing.
            We'll trade all our sins
            for Angel's blessed wings,
when tomorrow does take us away...

personally i read the blood and gore first but i seem to be one of few

Take a good look at my face
Well, don't my smile look out of  place
look a little closer its easy to trace
The tracks of my tears
