Grounded Clouds

Looking down to seek the blue
a shorter distance to full view
a bit of wisp among the leaves
a curb led thought, in believe.

If I step out, who will know?
Will it be down, or up, I go?
Wet leaves waiting, to touch the sky
here they linger, in search of high.

That puddles hold small life, it’s known
A puddle here, it’s true, is shown;
But can you see the dream of thought?
Who’d have known what a puddle’d wrought?

Fascinating! I can't wait to go out tomorrow and look at the puddles our big storm of today left behind.

True inspiration and imagination.

Hugs, Marti

I swear that poem is one of the best.. I really loved it.. Your are a very good poet.. I just love reading your poems!

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.

I have puddles like that here, only they reflect oak limbs heavy with Spanish moss, pelicans...and me on the way to the salt marsh with a rod & reel over my shoulder.
Just lovely...and such a pretty picture to go along with it.

The stars will shine when I am gone,
the earth will turn on as before,
the gulls, still race along the shore,
the morning star, still kiss the dawn

This poem is a great example of all the little things that we as people just glance over in our hectic lives.  I for one tomorrow am going to take a little time to observe somethign and maybe right a little about it if all goes well.  I'll post it in this forum if I get the chance.

Kari darling heart sister I really love this , but of course you know that, you are remarkable perceptive, and this is simply divine. The touch of your words fluttering within the spirit of this, rise from the page to dance in lyrical wonder into the very stuff of my soul. I truly am breathless with delight, truly you write with starlight.

If I could hold the starlight
And wrap it in a cloak of might
I would drape its silvered glow
Around your soul just like so
If within the thought of touch
I could gift you with this much
I would whisper yes to the air
Send it flying away to where
The words stroke across your soul
Rising to fill the aching hole
The possible within the sigh
The wondering of pleasure’s aye
If I could gift this dreamers might
I would unwrap hope’s delight

You know I truly love this, you really are an amazing poet

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

Oh, this is the best yet!!!!!  You have the gift of pointing our minds in new directions, and I for one always enjoy seeing things that I may not have noticed before!!  Thank you.....

Pen how you truly feel...

Karilea~
There's nothing like a good rain storm
and the puddles it leaves behind.
Enjoyed this, my friend.

Cool photo. Artistic to see things from a different perspective. As I grow I learn that art inspires art. I saw a program (I usually avoid TV) about interpreting dreams and a woman who lives on Nantucket (jealous I) found escape from her harsh reality of depression and nightmares by photographing images straight from their reflections off water's surfaces. They were beautiful and she claims to have found a peace in art's endeavor. I hope we all may. Enjoyed

I read your poem then Richard's comment, and I too agree that there is such peace in the art of photography and the beauty found there is so real.  This picture is incredible of course, but reminds me of a ski accident I had...optical illusion, thought I was landing on snow but it was the sky reflecting on it, and BANG, I had over-rotated a jump, and that hurt!  Why am I telling you all this LOL.  See what the artform does?  Lovely poem and presentation, and I too find solice in my camera.

well that's the last time I go splashing in puddles, I could be responsible for the death of countless little life forms. LOL
but seriously, your muse has given us another fine piece to relish.
