It hurts when someone close
Is fixin' to pass away.
You see their sickness.
You see their suffering.
You wish you could take it all away.
But there is nothing you can do
But watch the deteraite (sp?).

By the end of the month
My Grandmother hopefully will be at rest.
Not suffering anymore.
I love her
And yes this is causing me a great heartache.

But it might be better
For her if she was at rest.
Because I can't stand to see her
Suffer anymore.

Cold hands means a warm heart

I know the feeling. My Great Grandma passed away when I was 8.

What is life without poetry and adventure?
"Little sister" is just another way of saying "Guardian Angel"!

Julie, you wrote of your feelings very well. It was very touching piece of writing and I continue to send prayers for both you and your grandmother. This is a difficult time for you and your family and its wonderful how you have shared your inner thoughts with us.

~ sending love and prayers...

Hang in there my friend.  Old age ain't for sissies! Your grandma must be a powerful woman...she lived a long life in preparation for how she will choose to meet her end.
I know you are proud of her...and sad to face this loss...
And she must be very proud of you...to take such good care of yourself in preparation. That is sometimes the hardest thing of all, and the only thing we can do.
My grandma had cancer...and she was like a mother to me.  I was about your age when she died.  She smiles on me every day of my life...I called her Beansie...Bernice Viola Mardin...we made fudge that never got firm, she taught me to sew, and to play tidley winks with buttons...and that love was never an effort. Much love and strength to you. All Prayers. ThisDiamond

I read your problem in the announcements. Thi is really sad, and I really wish the best for you. You should read this to her, even if she is really sick and doesn't reconize you.

Yes, Julie, it truly is heartbreaking, but she has your true love and that helps her a great deal, getting through her ordeal, knowing you care and are with her. Loving hurts us so much sometimes, but, we never quite know how much our giving love helps others.
My prayers are with you both.

Hugs,
With Warm Regards,
