Myself is chosen for me
But I try hard to make you laugh

I entertain,

Black eyes and purple lips
Teardrop stained pale skin

Sad Clown,
Make you laugh when I am crying.
Sad Clown,
I try so hard but I am dying.
I'm a Sad Clown,
I don't want this anymore.
Sad Clown,
All my pain is at the door.

I don't want this for me
And don't wish it on anyone else
I stagger to the bathroom
And I wash off the purple and black
The tears are whiped off
My skin regains color
And I can breath
Because I'm myself again.

WOW! That was a really brilliant poem. Comparing to a clown. I just loved it. Im putting it in my liberry and there's NOTHING you can do about it!

the title really caught my eye.

this was an interesting piece. i enjoyed the reversal in the first two lines.

wow...i thoguth i was the only one thats afraid of clowns...good poem. i liked the metaphor in it.
