Somewhere... out there...

Okay, now that I have your attention...
I really need some input from all of you.
The challenges have been going great, and
I'm VERY happy with the response so far.
However, in order to keep doing them, I have
to have more ideas. That's where YOU come in.

My challenge to you, right now, is to think of
an idea (or more than one) for a challenge and
post the idea on this thread.I will compile
them into a file on my computer and will randomly
choose from them when it's time for new challenges.
No fair jumping in and replying to these ideas early.
You'll just have to wait until they are 'active' challenges.

So...put on your thinking caps and help me out here.
I KNOW you can come up with something great!
I can't wait to see what it is!

"...until you have read the verse on his heart,
you have not truly met the poet.

*grins* you have to write a poem, any form, any subject, with the phrase,
"overprotective fury"
in it somewhere... I challenge any of you to beat THAT one (note: Brian is NOT allowed to take up this challenge, cause I know he'll beat me *grins*)

How about a challange about the most influential person in our life (that you know personally).  A poem of gratitude to that person, that after some work could be given to them? maybe...kinda cliche...maybe its a terrible idea...oh well...

a double haiku with the rhyme scheme: aabccbaa
posted all in the same thread, with the condition that the nth poster cannot use a single word that was in poster n-1's poem.

These are some great ideas!  Thanks for the input!

Rhonda...I like that phrase.  That could be interesting.

Lisa...I think that's a great idea and definately NOT 'terrible'.

majnu...I'm going to need a little more clarification
with this one.  I'm not familiar with a double haiku,
and generally speaking, haiku does not rhyme.
Could you elaborate a bit to help me better
understand what it is that you're suggesting?
Thanks for the input.  I do appreciate it.

Jen...LOL @ 'on shaving'.  I LOVE that!
Definately going on my list, and it will be used.

Write a poem, to the person who knows you best, whether that person be an adult or a relative, or a friend your age. You can include a name if you want, but it's not mandatory material.
Oh, and it can be any form too

I have an idea, It's not much of a chalenge but it is something constructive to do when you're bored or something. Anyways..
We could write a phrase for every season to make a short poem.
I dunno if that makes sence but it sounds kinda cute cause I did it once and it's really fun..
Also we could do it with our 3 favorite colors or something in that sort I suppose that would work too.

By boyfriend challenged me with this one:
Write a poem, about you and your boyfriend/girlfriend/crush, have it ryme, and it has to include the words airplane, dr. Pepper, and Australia.
LOL
Just an idea

Yes there will be tommorrow, but will you be there to greet it?

easy one.

write a song, a proper song.  verses, bridge, chorus, etc.

any topic.

but it must have a proper format and rhythm when read.

/jen/

i'm so bitterly disappointed.  betty, i think it's time you leave now.
