The steam rises
Slowly I open the door
Step in shut the door in a rage
I grab the soap
I start scrubbing
"Wash off me, get off!"
Thats all I think about
I close my eyes allow my hair to get wet
All i can see is his face
Smiling at me, touching, grabbing
I open my eyes
I can still feel him
His large hands on my arms
I let the soap fall from my hands
All i can do is cry
His smell, his touch, his face
I can't lose it
"Oh God. Please help"
Soap can't wash this away
The water pulsing on my back can't rinse him away
I grab the clear handle and turn off the water
Grab a towel, sit
I thought he was what I wanted
now, he won't leave

" I think I got a tan from the light in which i was basking."

I think that this poem can speak to everyone in one way or another. I'm surprised this hasn't recieved many replies yet, because it is obviously a well done poem.

I THINK THIS WAS A GREAT POEM!! MAYBE IT COULD HAVE WENT MORE INTO THE POINT INSTEAD OF SO MUCH TOWARD THE EXTRAS. BUT IN ALL IT WAS AN AMAZING POEM. IT SHOWED ALOT OF FEELING AND I COULD VERY MUCH RELATE. TO ME IT WAS ABOUT REGRETS OF COURSE EVERYONE HAS THERE OWN OPINIONS. I LOOK FORWARD TO MORE OF YOUR WORK!! NEVER STOP WRITTING!!!

Wow, Malloree...  I hope everything is okay, I'm here for you if you need to talk about things.  This definitely had emotion in it.  I think everybody can relate in one way or another with there, there's always regrets that people make that they wish they could go back and 'wash away.'  And there's also the other way, the more literal sense of this poem.  Well written, thanks for sharing.

This poem was a very touching piece. It really hit home for me...I can relate to it...and I feel your pain. You captured that emotion perfectly. Really beautiful job.
