"Respond to this," my teacher said,
Yet I cannot, my brain is dead.
No words will come, my mind is blank
My plots are dumb, my ideas rank.

I am so tired, I cannot think
I'll fall asleep if I dare blink.
My eyes slide closed, my head does fall
I snap awake: my teacher calls.

How can I write when I'm like this?
The meaning I completely miss.
The only thing that I can see
is writer's block for eternity.

Oh, will this brain freeze never end?
Or must I continue in this same trend?
Normally I have quite a gift
I only hope this mind block lifts.

hee hee...a lighthearted little oxymoron.
and here's another on the same topic:

What to write?
I do not know.
Where did all my ideas go?
No inspiration comes to mind,
a lack of decent prose I find.
It seems my wit deserted me
it took a break, apparently.
I dearly wish to write something
but silence in my head does ring.
What has happened to my muse?
Where did it go? I am confused.
Yet though I claim my rhymes did cease,
I have composed this little piece.

hope you enjoyed.

Very cute and I'm sure the majority of us know just what you are expressing here. This is rather good...I never thought to write, about a block/loss of muse, before...Cute

Heh..I loved it!! Sometimes you find yourself becoming to serious when you write poetry so it is always refreashing to hear a light hearted one's such as these! Brightened up my day and gave me a laugh, into the library they go!

People always ask me why I don't look toward my future I tell them to many interesting things are happening today.

These are keepers for my library.
I HATE writers block!!
I've had it for awhile now and can't seem to get rid of it.

I think that this was a very good poem on writers block. It explains exactly how it is. Your lucky though because when i get writers block, i cant write about it. It was a very good poem.
