In my troll closet I be

My usual days, nothing compared to these.
Its odd to see the transition,
when I saw, for 15 years, the "status quo".

"It must be the age," is all I hear.
It's easily noted… I don't fit in.
As I choose not to and no, I don't belong.

Enjoyably, I meet new people.
Its sad when old friends feel useless, second-hand…
Never, would my friends sense being unwanted.

My mind drifts uncontrollably.
Mostly accustomed, I bet, to easier days,
as I know it’s my present years.

What comes is all I know.
I know naught to change what will ensue,
though I know life is making progress.

"All that I desire to point out is the general principle that Life imitates Art far more than Art imitates Life."
-Oscar Wilde

Laura~
This was an interesting read...one that screamed
to be read more than once.
It got my attention and made me think...I like that.
Nicely done.
