Kethry heard the cries of torment,
From the bottom of the stairs,
The fateful time approaching,
Until she joins them there.

There was no joy, no happiness,
The place was filled with gloom,
Resigned to fate, with haunted eyes,
They all await their doom.

It comes at last to everyone,
At early age or late,
Not fame, nor wealth or royalty
Shall save one from this fate.

The grown men sigh, the children cry,
Their bravery now fails,
They sob and beg and stamp their feet,
But all to no avail.

Seen clearly through the half closed door,
Everybody knows,
The instruments of torture waits,
For all the victim's woe.

Kethry's name is called,
She bravely heeds the call,
No faint heart, the chamber waits,
Her grit will show them all.

No moan or groan shall pass her lips,
No tears form from her eyes,
She shall not fear, (like Balladeer)
Nor ask the reason why.

A friendly and disarming smile,
Belies this villain's trade,
It takes but a few moments now,
Until the mould is made.

With the impression finished then,
Kethry leaves the room,
And she'll pick up her brand new teeth,
Tomorrow afternoon.

Balladeer went through this too,
But never showed back up,
Now all the while when he does smile,
His lips are tightly shut.

Does Suthern know that you beat up Superman (reply to my "If Superman...")to show your manliness to me and that you also offered to carry me off on a camel (reply to my "The Magic Mirror")? I had been considering it, but if we did get together, I'd be afraid you'd broadcast it all over the net if I had to have an operation on my hemmorhoids! LOL

Great poem!

Of course Suthern knows! She pulled me off him just before I stole his cape....and I wouldn't tell anyone about your operation dear....(especially since ya let me see the scars)......

If only Bal would find his courage, Suthern gal? That is SO painful I'll see if I can find it before you get here..

Toe, my lips are always pressed tight where you are concerned and it's got nothing to do with missing teeth...LOL!

Now stop pickin' on poor, defenseless (and possibly toothless) Kethry!

Toe darling man this is wonderful, Keth will be rolling in the aisles, this is just perfect to help her get over her flu. Nothing is so good as laughter as medicine. Admittedly she now has a frightful cough so what with laughing and coughing up a lung she may well keel over, but I hope not.

As always darling man you’ve written brilliantly and wittily too, I love it utterly utterly utterly. This is a fine poem and had me laughing out loud.

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

Toe,
I may be toothless (and who's to say) but watch out for claws that are coming your way.
Just because a gal proposes
suppose you think it's a bed of roses
You better watch out when you're least aware
Kethry fights back to get you right there.
Anticipation is ninth tenths of the joy
so keep well alert you silly old boy.
Keth

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Toe,
I don't know how you do it. A man of your age still able to get his foot in his mouth.
Enjoyed
