The poems that I'm posting are for a friend and were written after a bad divorce. It kept me sane at that time. And this one is TRUE ! I really did lay out from work and go fishing, all by myself!

Monday Morning..

I'm going to work...not feeling my best.
Wanna stay in bed...catch up on my rest.
But the almighty dollar...has to be made.
Got bills piling up...they gotta be paid.

Not enough time...to get everything done.
The week-ends's too short...and I'm on the run.
Doing this...running there...doing all that I can.
'cause come monday morning...It's work time again.

It starts all over...the same old grind.
You start wishing again...you had more time,
to do all the things...that you need to do.
And you're working all day...and half the night too.

It's work,work,work...then work some more.
And if we don't do it...we end up poor.
There's never any time...to have any fun.
'Cause we're always having to run, run, run.

But,you know what?...I'm gonna quit wishing.
To hell with the work...I'm...gonna...go...
FISHING!!! Yeah!
