Seemingly lost to thought
the endless stare into a mirror past.
What could captivate the eyes
so totally, completely?

Sights of struggles, always moving
from place to place...again and again..
Never settling, home was..but was not..
home...

The monotonous ride on that yellow
lurching machine...

Watching the driver, the speed, the other kids...
Playing games with a funny looking balloon
...but it wasn’t,
             something else..
where did “that” come from...

Facing the enemies each day....
Always having to prove myself,
that I was good enough.
Accepted by some, rejected by some...
“Trailer Trash”....what they called us....
Funny....I thought we all were Americans....

Learning about the “S” word finally, crudely...
I was 12...already fighting the emotions of
hormones...like a runaway train
on a track to who knows where...

Remembering my mother’s words about “S” and
where we came from....clumsy me,
so embarrassing...speechless..

Not sure about all of what she explained
...but very sure....
what the hormones were doing....
And what I was doing ....

Trying to grow up, with no rules....
Down a winding path
lined with thorns...

Faeries and butterflies...

A very sensitive boy,
growing faster than
he should...

Such respect for the author and the man.
Such an honest and real depiction of growing pains. Hugs. ThisDiamond

I was lucky..I grew up in a time and area where everyone respected each others right to be different...and even today I guess I am still that shelted child.

Magnus,
A very sensitive write. But the title should read the other way around, "Living, Learning, Wondering." To Wondering, learning,
Living. Good write enjoyed.

Magnus darling heart and speaker of the worlds truth only you could have written this, truly this is an awesome and amazing piece of writing. This is simply exquisite writing, how well you write of the pangs of growing up, how truly blessed we are here by the touch of your writing. This is what I mean when I say how special a writer you are, the quality the form the style all shout your name, this is excellent writing truly one of your best.

I love it and say again YOU are special, and I love this utterly utterly utterly. Honestly this is pretty near perfect poetry

Love and warm stuff
As always

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

(big hugggssssss) Oh Barry, this brought tears to my eyes reading this because I understand how sensitive and curious you must have been and how I wish this kind of innocence could still live on everywhere in a world now filled with abuse and scandal! (sad sigh) This is powerfully heartfelt, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Barry

Isn't always easy growing up...so many cracks in that road...enjoyed this honest and sensitive look at the little boy inside the man.

It can be so healing when you can connect with that little boy you once were--and in some ways still are. Give him the love he deserved and it will fill up the man that he has become. Very moving and I admire your courage to open yourself up like this.
