            The Lambs of Peace

   Like velvet caulking
foolhardy years hope for seamless days
Some eat of wild berries hid in befallen shadows
Some eat of sable-trimmed fruit protected by scarecrows
Entranced, eyes of tomorrow seek peace's breath of finality
An unsupressed coughing hack fails to be hushed
by the shroud rag promises of politicos
with one poised finger over a trigger
and a foot in twilight grave beds

Patience, stooped and weary, shall have no more of it!
when broken wills repair as a universal voice
Shouting for the cannons of righteousness to thunder
Shouting for the lambs with fiery souls
      who bleat
      for Peace

Poet's note:
in these uncertain days of prewar,
let's hope cooler heads prevail
and take the necessary moments
to contemplate the necessity of taking lives.

It does often seem the voice of peace is gentle and soft and not heard over the incredible noise of war. A nice piece Jeff, with a valuable message worth heeding.

(big hugggssssss) Sadly it sees that those who always take the podium are comprised of lions and hyenas and vultures who treat their debators like carrions and the lambs are always sacrificed in all this prejudice and arguentation! (sad sigh) I'm counting on a miracle to change this system and allow the lambs to take the stand and work to develop a rejuvenated sense of harmony! (sigh) This is powerful thoughts, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jeff, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Amen to Lambs of Peace. Well done. Chris

Jeff

You have an incredible way of tapping on the shoulder of meaning...with words...you have much power, perhaps power for peace.  I hope so.  Children listen to a whisper when a shout can't be heard.

Fellow followers of peace:

i am tickled that you all saw the meaning in this poetic headache poem.  It bothers me so, to see people so anxious to rush into conflicts that always seem to have convaluted twists in the endgame.  Things like this never work out as planned, and often just opens scarred wounds that shall never heal.  Thank you for caring,
thank you for the accolades (which i don't deserve), but mainly, thank you for doing your part in spreading the message of Peace.

Jeff darling heart and painter of wisdom’s beauty once more your writing is simply stunning. Your ability to speak with powerful persuasion with words dipped in poet’s translucent thought is so beautifully displayed here. Always you uncover the thought, and shading it in the perfect hue you frame it and then hang it high for us all to see.

In the who of you I see
Wisdom that reflects what will be
In life’s knowledge you’ve walked far
And you know all of what you are
Looking in the soul of this
I’m reading the intended kiss
The touch of truth that fills me
With your hope and your poetry
On your journey into sighs
Lift my soul into your dream’s skies
Let me listen to your soul
Learn what it is that made you whole
Touch the thought as it forms there
Believe in trust and learn to share

Truly superb writing, you know that your writing fills me with awe, always your writing is awesome, and this is utterly utterly perfect. I’ve been really busy the last few weeks but I try to pop in here to visit you, you are always worth the effort. This plea for peace is one of your utter best and I applaud you for it, I love it utterly

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

Touching, SR. And I believe that we (a collective and universal we) must attain tolerance before peace can occur.
