Im still pretty new here......but my first few posts have been the depressing poems I've written.....
This one however is quite different this is something that came to me while listening to my classical music.....

Which I love .......

Here it is...............
A calm night, A gentle breeze
The high grass sways against my knees

The crickets chirp in quite a flock
They play me the music of mozart and bach

A waterfall splash's into a lake
And from this dream I wish not to wake

But to reality my mind holds tight
And my eyes are opened without a fight

My breeze is proven to be fake
Created by a passing cars windy wake

My high grass seems to be nothing more
Then pesky insects leaving my legs so sore

The crickets chirping I find to be
The annoying sounds of a nearby city

My waterfall and lake whose sound was subtle
Are nothing more then a mere sprinkler and puddle

Though the dream I shall never again see
The relaxing feelings stay with me

And as I lay and drift back to sleep
This memory I shall forever keep.............
There

I tried my best to remain with the rythm I created.....

Also I figured I might want to explain this now...

I chose the word "Requiem" because (for those who dont know)

It means "A mass said or sung for the repose of a departed soul"

and I am describing how the relaxation is something that has departed from me

and therefore

I write the poem about it

Anyway....just thought id put that in there

Hope you guys enjoy.....

dj29-
I do, most DEFINITELY, enjoy!
You did an excellent job of putting the
dream into words and I found myself truly
disappointed when the calming sights and
sounds were being taken away from me.
VERY well done.

dj,

I haven't had the chance to read your other works yet, but I do have to say I loved this piece. Very beautiful. Welcome a bit late I suppose to the Pip family.

You took as what started out as beautiful couplets
and twisted their ends.

LOL...Enjoyed.  Thank you!
