Why
By Paul Wilson

Each of us must do our part
To stop the senseless killing
To prevent a broken heart
We ask for help, God willing

Death each day child killing child
This horror we have to end
Have all our children gone wild
To all this message we send

School bags should be used for books
Our children are for living
Guns and knives are for the crooks
All death is unforgiving

Please check their bags every day
Always show them that you care
In your hast don’t turn away
End every day with a prayer

Please God, keep them from harms way
Teach them guns are not for play
Show them we care every day

To keep them safe we must try
None of them deserve to die
No one should have to ask why?

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Paul, my heart broke reading this just thinking of all the innocent children, I live only about a half an hour from where the Columbine shooting happened and that broke my heart how those two teens could bring out such hatred on innocent people! (BIG HUGGGSSSSS) I join you in your prayers that all children can be safe and protected from such violence, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Paul, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

A message that is all too true, and frightening Paul. You've captured this fear for our children well in this piece ... much enjoyed!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Paul, I have been offline for a couple of days and came back this morning to find this heart-felt poem.

It distresses me so much what is happening in the world today to our precious children. I have never been able to figure out what kind of a person can harm a child. And the problems seems to be rampant.

I read in the paper this morning that the little 10 year old from southern CA was found alive in NV. Thank God.

Thank you for sharing a part of your heart with all of us.  Hugs, Marti

Marti... Glad to see you are back on line.
So glad you enjoyed this. It just sort of came to me one night last week while working
and I wanted to share it with all, to hopefully help stop the violence in our schools and elsewhere. Thank You for reading...Paul

Marge... Thank you for your kind words.
