Hey it’s me again!

I looked for you last night
As I sat and sipped a cold one
Thinking about what I had said
How you might have been listening
or might not have deemed
It worthy of your time
Since we had agreed
I’d not write about you
Nor criticize your speechwriters,
At least in public,
And my diatribe could be
Construed as being critical
In some ways.

So I thought I’d follow up.

You know I can’t leave things alone
Once they start working their way
Down the narrow corridors of my thoughts
And I am left to ponder
Repeating past paths meander
Hitting first on the historical
But turning to the political reason
Of why indeed you have survived
In memory if not tradition
For all these thousands of years.

I admit,
Though I can find no logical science
To explain how it could be so
That you might indeed be there.

I also protest,
If you are there
The misery that you condone
And would suggest
That if we are your children
Then act like a responsible father or mother would
And when we are in the sandbox kicking and screaming
At each other ready to throw punches or stones

Take us aside
And while not solving our problems for us
Do make sure we are allowed the chance
To learn and grow without endangering innocents.

See…
You knew I couldn’t keep my mouth shut didn’t you?
That’s probably why I was the only one
Sitting on a round stool last night as I sipped my beer
That kept looking at the door
Wondering if you would come in
So I could debate with you the why and how.
Not meaning to be disrespectful, nor to say I know
One atom’s worth of what you are supposed to,
But sure did want to hear you explain it in your own words
Not those tricked and tweaked over history
For reasons mentioned above.

I plan on stopping off at Johnny’s again tonight
So if you want to start the weekend off right and have a little chat about all the hows and whys of me being wrong
Drop by
I’m buying…

I’ll be in the green shirt
Sitting in the back

Sort of like him, Martie?  I would hazard a guess, he's speaking from the gut...

You've made Serenity dizzy...

you've made Me, smile!

You also made me think of the word metaphysical, one of my special words, and when people make me think that...they've touched a very special thought...

Wow!!! Oh my gosh, this is sooooo wonderfully said, sweet friend, you bring the bar alive with conversation and streaming thoughts just as I'm sure the hows and whys are already just drifting there in the stale air in this wonderful vision! (sigh) This is marvelous, sweet friend, I LOVE IT, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ron, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

I'm glad you can't leave things alone.
